Position Overview

The Department of Marketing & Management in the Norm Brodsky College of Business at Rider University seeks an adjunct instructor of Human Resource Management for the Fall 2026 beginning September 9, 2026. This position is to teach MGT 310 Introduction to Human Resource Management.

This is an on-campus course that meets Monday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

This course deals with the nature of human resource management, its functions, procedures, and practices currently found in profit, non-profit, and public sector organizations. Topics covered include recruiting and selection, training, human resource development, equal employment opportunity, performance appraisal, diversity, job analysis, compensation, and employee rights and discipline.

Salary is $4,215.98 for a 3-credit course. Please note that a full course is considered to have 9 students enrolled in the course. If a section is not full, 8 or fewer enrollees, the salary is prorated based on the number of students enrolled in the course.

Required Knowledge, Skills And Experience
  • Master's degree or higher in Human Resource Management, Management, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated ability and experience teaching at the college level.
  • Strong knowledge of human resource management principles, practices, and contemporary workplace issues.
  • Commitment to fostering student success in both academic achievement and career development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
  • Satisfactory background and/or DMV checks required.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills And Experience
  • Professional experience in human resource management or a related field.
  • Experience applying human resource management principles in corporate, nonprofit, or public sector organizations.
