Black Hawk College is seeking an Adjunct Faculty/Part-time Instructor for the Engineering Department.

Description of Duties
The faculty member is expected to encourage learning by preparing appropriate syllabi, developing lectures, discussions, and other presentations or activities to enhance the students' educational experience. They will develop, implement, and evaluate methods for assessing student performance. Additionally, the instructor is responsible for developing, securing, and maintaining the equipment and instructional materials essential for classroom presentation.
Education & Experience
ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY, General Competencies: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (or equivalent professional competence), or a related field, with 2000 documented hours of related experience in an engineering technology field. A Master’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, manufacturing, or an integrated technology discipline such as Mechatronics is preferred. Prior teaching experience at an accredited institution and demonstrated hands-on experience in a professional industrial setting are desirable. Candidates must possess demonstrated oral English proficiency for classroom instruction.
ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY: ELECTRICAL TRACK: Bachelor's degree and 2000 documented hours of related experience in an engineering technology field. A Master’s degree is preferred. Candidates should have at least 2 years of hands-on experience with programmable control instruments, experience in industrial electrical maintenance, process control, or related fields, and be able to interpret circuit diagrams, perform system assembly, fault diagnosis, calibration, and control tuning. Instructing in analog and digital circuits, understanding of control systems, and microcontroller programming including IIoT concepts are required.
