Adjunct Faculty are hired each semester on an as-needed basis. Adjunct Faculty are responsible for creating a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals; and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided.
Data Analytics Program
DATA Standard: A qualified faculty member in Data Analytics DATA meets the program standard through one of four routes: Possesses an earned master’s degree or higher, from a regionally accredited institution, in database, data analytics, information systems or related field as appropriate to the program; or Possesses an earned related or out-of field master’s degree, from a regionally accredited institution, with documented 18 semester hours or equivalent of courses beyond the introductory principle(s) level in database, data analytics, information systems or related field as appropriate to the program; or Possesses an earned related or out-of-field master’s degree, from a regionally accredited institution, with documentation in two or more of the following: Professional certification (national, regional, or state) Two years of in-field professional employment Documented evidence of teaching excellence, including date of award Documentation of research and publication in the field Documented relevant additional coursework beyond the bachelor’s degree, equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, CEU’s, vendor, or military: or Possesses an earned bachelor’s degree, from a regionally accredited institution, in database, data analytics, information systems or related field as appropriate to the program, with documentation in two or more of the following: Professional certification (national, regional, or state) in the field Two years of in-field professional employment Documented evidence of teaching excellence, including date of award Documentation of research and publication in the field Documented relevant additional coursework beyond the bachelor’s degree, equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, CEU’s, vendor, or military.
DBMS 131 Course Standard: A qualified faculty member teaching DBMS 131 meets the Data Analytics program standard and holds a valid, non-expired Oracle SQL Fundamentals certification; Oracle Database Foundations certification; or other industry recognized SQL certification or two years of documented database administration professional employment.
DBMS 230, DBMS 231, DBMS 240 and DBMS 241 Course Standard: A qualified faculty member teaching DBMS 230, DBMS 231, DBMS 240 or DBMS 241 meets the Data Analytics program standard and two years of documented SQL server professional employment.
DBMS 251 Course Standard: A qualified faculty member teaching DBMS 251 meets the Data Analytics program standard and holds a valid, non-expired Oracle Administration certification or higher-level Oracle certification; or two years of documented Oracle database administration professional employment.
DBMS 261 Course Standard: A qualified faculty member teaching DBMS 261 meets the Data Analytics program standard and holds a valid, non-expired CIW Data Analyst certification; or two years of documented Data Analytics professional employment.
