All qualified applicants for these positions must be professing Christians and willing to support the Christian mission and purpose of the university**Essential Duties**Provide high quality instruction, direction and support for students in the online classroom environment.* Provide in-depth and timely feedback on student work, being both encouraging and constructively critical.* Provide timely and helpful answers to students’ inquiries regarding course material or academic matters.* Conduct periodic synchronous interaction sessions (depending on course requirements).* Facilitate and grade all assignments in a timely manner.* Enter final course grades after consultation with the lead faculty and/or program director by assigned deadlines.* Alert lead faculty and/or program director to any student issues. This includes performance issues (e.g. failing grades, failing to turn in assignments, etc.) and policy violation issues (e.g. plagiarism).* Comply with all pertinent policies and procedures outlined in Abilene Christian University’s Handbook, Faculty Guidelines, and those specified by the program.* Other duties, as assigned and directed by lead faculty and/or program director.Participate with the program faculty and in planning, development, implementation of program and curriculum.* Provide feedback to the program director for program and/or course improvement.* Attend/complete program and CHHS faculty trainings and provide credentialing/records updates (as needed).* Participate in program and faculty meetings (as able).**Professional Development Requirements**Skills* Attention to detail and follow through.* Time management skills.* Computer proficiency with knowledge of, or ability to learn quickly, new technologies and software packages.* Excellent verbal communication, written communication, and interpersonal abilities.* Strong capacity for critical thinking and problem solving while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries and program standards.* Ability to collaborate or work independently as the situation requires.* Exhibit a standard of ethical behavior, discretion, and respect confidentiality in handling information related to the University, the School of Social Work and its faculty, staff, and studentsTraining Modules Required* Microsoft Word, Excel, Access* Google Calendar, Mail, Sheets and Docs* Canvas and Bridge (online learning platforms)**Physical Demands*** Capacity to sit or stand stationary for a period of time.* Physical ability to use a computer or other electronic device.* Manage conversations in person, online and by telephone.* Work well under pressure and manage stress well**Qualifications**Professional* Must hold a Master’s degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited or internationally-recognized social work program.* Must have at least two (2) years’ post-MSSW practice experience if teaching practice courses. Licensure is highly preferred.* Must have practice or professional experience or general expertise in the content of the assigned course.* Minimum of two (2) years of university teaching is preferred. The ability to teach across the curriculum is expected.
