Job summary

Kansas City Kansas Community College (KCKCC) is seeking adjunct faculty to teach courses in music technology, audio engineering, live sound, and multimedia production across campus locations.

Candidates will provide instruction aligned to Student Learning Objectives, use active learning, and adapt materials for diverse learners, with emphasis on hands-on practice. The role is part-time adjunct, Fall 2026 pool with ongoing opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in audio engineering, music technology, music composition (tech emphasis) or related field.
• Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in audio recording or music technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction, activities, assignments, and assessments to cover the Audio Engineering Student Learning Objectives.
• Use teaching methods emphasizing application, cooperation, and collaboration; engage students actively.
• Organize and explain content for diverse abilities and backgrounds.
• Assign and provide feedback for in- and out-of-class work; monitor progress.
• Perform assessment and analysis according to college requirements.
• Reflect on and evaluate one’s pedagogy and effectiveness.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
