Job summary

Oklahoma State University - Oklahoma City is seeking an adjunct English instructor to conduct on-site instruction in English courses. Instructors will develop students' critical thinking and help them learn the subject matter to become positive community members.

The role requires a Master's in English (or related discipline with 18 English hours) and at least two years of teaching experience. Must work in-person in Oklahoma City and demonstrate strong communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Master's in English or related discipline or Master’s Degree with 18 hours in English required (degree must be conferred on or before start date)
• Minimum two years teaching and classroom management experience
• Educational qualifications to teach in subject area or documented specialty education/experience per HLC publications to meet qualified faculty requirements
• Programs with discipline-specific external accreditation may have more stringent training and experience requirements

Responsibilities

• Maintain student and course records with LMS updates
• Maintain current course outlines, objectives and grading procedures
• Exhibit innovative and adaptive instructional methods
• Complete all mandatory training
• Fulfill all requirements as noted in the Adjunct Handbook
• Perform other related duties as assigned
