TITLE: Apply Adjunct English Instructor
School of Arts and Sciences

REPORTS TO: Chair, Humanities and Social Sciences

SCHEDULE:

We are looking for persons who would like to teach English Composition courses in face-to-face classes on the LeTourneau University campus; classes are held during the day with flexible office hours.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

KEY JOB DUTIES:

  1. Participate in the course by providing expertise in the subject matter, facilitating course discussions, and providing appropriate feedback promptly.
  2. Complete grading per rubrics and program guidelines.
  3. Communicate with students and faculty promptly.
  4. Exhibit a strong commitment to the integration of faith and learning.
  5. Utilize the Canvas learning platform and other technological resources to enhance student learning.
  6. Attend virtual adjunct meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

LeTourneau University seeks a person with an enthusiastic and contagious Christian faith committed to Christian higher education that integrates Christian faith with learning.

Master’s Degree in English or related field or eighteen graduate hours in English, to teach English Comp and Writing Classes.

SALARY: Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and other qualifications.

DATE POSITION IS AVAILABLE: August 2025
