Qualifications

• Master’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution in Engineering, with a background or concentration in Mechanical or Electrical being highly desirable. A doctorate and/or licensure as a Professional Engineer would be preferred.
• Prior college or university teaching experience preferred, as is evidence of scholarly and/or professional activities. Additional job experience in the engineering field may be substituted for a Masters Degree, as long as the applicant has a Baccalaureate Degree in an Engineering discipline.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the engineering discipline including current developments and technologies in related fields of specialization. Ability to teach lab courses and/or tutor in learning centers as appropriate. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses and follow the department's course descriptions and outlines.
• Teaching schedules may include day/evening courses and online/hybrid instruction and other instructional modalities.
• Participate in departmental initiatives, provide evidence of academic achievements, and perform other duties as required.
