Job summary

Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC) seeks an Adjunct Faculty - Electrical in the Division of Technical Education. You will teach courses as assigned, with potential evenings, weekends, online, or dual enrollment settings, and maintain currency in the discipline at BRCC in Baton Rouge, LA.

Responsibilities include teaching, maintaining office hours, advising students, and ensuring compliance with IBC, AWS, NCCER, and accreditation requirements while supporting BRCC’s mission and policies.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant experience
• Electrical experience with industry certifications preferred
• Associate degree or progress toward one preferred

Responsibilities

• Teach courses as assigned and may require evenings, weekends, online, or dual enrollment settings
• Maintain a minimum of 10 office hours per week
• Provide syllabi and schedules to students and manage grades/attendance
• Advise students and assist with registration, orientation, and recruitment
• Ensure adherence to master course syllabi and college policies
• Maintain accurate grade and attendance records and submit reports by deadlines
• Maintain IBC and accreditation requirements and current AWS and/or NCCER certifications
• Attend departmental and college meetings and participate in faculty evaluation
