Job summary

Bunker Hill Community College seeks a skilled Economics faculty member to teach courses including Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, and Environmental Economics across BHCC campuses in Chelsea, Malden, and partner sites.

The position requires a terminal degree in economics or related field, commitment to culturally responsive teaching, and ability to work with a diverse student body across multiple sites. Fall 2026 start; CORI/SORI background checks apply.

Qualifications

Master's degree or Ph.D. in Economics or related field.
Evidence of engagement in culturally responsive pedagogies.
Experience with high impact teaching and learning practices (undergraduate research, community engagement, critical pedagogies, learning communities).
Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population.
Must be available to teach at Chelsea, Malden High School, Freedom House, and Chelsea High School.

Responsibilities

Teach Economics courses such as Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, and Environmental Economics.
