Position Overview

This is an ongoing job posting for clinical instructor positions available across various cities, states, and clinical sites. The role is essential to bridging classroom learning with hands‑on patient care for pre‑licensure nursing students.

Additional responsibilities include clinical instruction and supervision, evaluation of student performance, liaison between academic and clinical sites, upholding safety and professional standards, and documentation and communication.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required
• Active and unencumbered registered nursing license
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a hospital or clinical setting

Hours

• Hours vary based on clinical facilities, potential for 8, 10, or 12‑hour shifts, and availability for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift, including weekdays and weekends.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
• Ability to move about readily and rapidly, if necessary, to access classrooms, students, office machinery, clinics, patients, etc.
• Constantly communicate using the spoken word with students, staff, and colleagues.
• Visually or otherwise identify, observe, and assess.
• Operate equipment specific to programmatic track, personal computer, audio‑visual equipment, clinical equipment, etc.
• Travel to off‑site meetings or conferences or to observe students during clinical education at off‑site clinical settings.
• For programs that include a clinical component, all faculty must be able to:
  • Stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction.
  • Manipulate objects with finger dexterity.
  • See and hear within normal parameters.
  • Lift up to 25 pounds.
