Minimum qualifications include a Master’s in any biological science or a Bachelor’s in biological science with a Master’s in biochemistry, biophysics, or marine science, or the equivalent. AVC does not sponsor visas.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Applicant must meet one of the following:

• Most current Minimum Qualifications for Faculty in California Community Colleges:
• Master's in any biological science
• OR
• Bachelor's in any biological science
• AND Master's in biochemistry, biophysics, or marine science
• OR
• the equivalent. (Academic Affairs Division, California Community Colleges)
• Antelope Valley College Equivalency: No Antelope Valley College Equivalency
• AND a sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cltural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of commuity college students (Assembly Bill; Eduation Code)
