Job summary

The Contra Costa Community College District Automotive Department is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member (part time) for Spring 2027 to teach one or more automotive courses, including collision repair, painting, and related topics. I-CAR certifications are required for the classes taught.

The teaching assignment focuses on transfer-level composition and supporting a culturally responsive curriculum while collaborating with learning communities that support diverse student groups.

Qualifications

• Degrees must be from an accredited college/university.
• 2 years of professional experience with a bachelor’s degree or higher or 6 years with an associate degree.

Responsibilities

• Providing instruction in accordance with established curriculum, course outlines and schedules.
• Creating and maintaining an environment conducive to learning and critical thinking.
• Evaluating student progress and grading.
• Meeting with students outside of class.
• Maintaining professional conduct and ethics.
• Staying current in subject matter areas.
• Fulfilling duties of a part-time/temporary faculty member.
• Maintaining accurate academic records.
• Performing other related duties as assigned.
