Job summary

The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is seeking an Adjunct Associate Professor of Coaching - Athletics to teach organized classes in the athletics discipline. The role is part-time, teaching up to 10 units, with primary duties including instruction, coaching support, and program coordination.

You will work under the Division Dean of Health & Fitness TrAC, helping students meet course objectives, maintain learning outcomes, and participate in curriculum and program development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with two years of professional experience, or an associate degree with six years of professional experience.
• Sensitivity to diverse backgrounds of community college students.

Responsibilities

• Instruct courses in athletics per outlines approved by the Board of Trustees.
• Act as an assistant coach to assigned sport.
• Assist head coach with coaching duties including recruiting, scouting, fundraising and public relations.
• Maintain expertise in current teaching methods and discipline knowledge.
• Assist students in achieving course objectives and track learning outcomes.
• Coordinate with faculty on textbooks and instructional materials.
• Complete reporting procedures for student evaluation and budget development.
