Unitek Learning seeks Adjunct Faculty to deliver online RN-BSN or MSN instruction from outside California. You will facilitate courses across Eagle Gate College, Brookline College, Provo College, Unitek College of Nursing, or Workforce Solutions, using current curricula and LMS tools.

You will review syllabi, assess students, and participate in program assessment while maintaining professional development and office hours weekly. RN licensure in applicable states is required.

Competenze

• Registered Nurse licensure in all states where MSN programs are established.
• Online teaching experience with LMS in RN-BSN or MSN programs.
• Demonstrated knowledge of nursing practice and education theory.
• Experience with distance education techniques and delivery.

We are looking for Adjunct Faculty to join our team. Living OUTSIDE the state of CA is a requirement. Adjunct Faculty will provide online course facilitation for the post-licensure Programs. This role involves online instruction in a RN-BSN or MSN program at one or more of Unitek Learning 's colleges (Eagle Gate College, Brookline College, Provo College, Unitek College of Nursing, or Workforce Solutions).

• Instruct students utilizing existing curriculum for assigned classes.
• Make continuous efforts to improve the quality of instruction by using different and innovative methodologies and/or teaching techniques.
• Assist with reviewing and revising syllabi and instructional guidelines.
• Regularly evaluate students to measure their progress in achieving curriculum and course objectives and inform them in a timely manner of their progress.
• Assist with strategic planning and assessment of instructional initiatives to ensure quality of program.
• Maintain student records of attendance, grades, and assist with program data collection.
• Utilize the Learning Management System (LMS) as the tool to deliver course content while maintaining relevance and currency.
• Provide access to students for ongoing communication through scheduling of office hours, electronic communication, and other appropriate methods.
• Participate in professional development; maintain CE hours to ensure renewed licensure and stay current with college updates.
• Commitment to teaching and working with a multicultural and multigenerational student body.
• Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for university and accreditation requirements/reporting.
• Faculty teaching in courses with unit/final exams are responsible for conducting weekly recorded synchronous sessions for students via distance modality (Zoom, MS Teams, WebEx, etc.).
• Faculty must hold a minimum of two (2) office hours weekly.
• Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Dean.
• Registered Nurse with current and unencumbered Registered Nurse licensure or eligible in all states where MSN programs are established.
• Registered Nurse with current and unencumbered licensure in California.
• Master's Degree in Nursing required; Terminal Degree in Nursing (DNP, EdD, PhD) required.
• Experience which demonstrates: Current knowledge of nursing practice; ability to mentor students; effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• At least 3 years' experience in direct patient care as an RN.
• Minimum of 1-year previous pre-licensure nursing online teaching experience required utilizing a Learning Management System (LMS).
• A documented background in educational methodology consistent with teaching assignments including but not limited to:
  • education theory and practice.
  • current concepts relative to subjects taught.
  • current clinical practice experience.
  • distance education techniques and delivery.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Products, especially Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and other MS office products as needed.
