University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks a Per Diem Neuro-Interventional Radiologist to perform a broad range of neurovascular procedures, including aneurysmal disease and AVMs, with emphasis on multidisciplinary collaboration and patient-centered care.
Requirements include MD/DO, Diagnostic Radiology residency, and Neuroradiology fellowship. North Carolina medical licensure or eligibility is required. Preference for board certification or eligibility in Radiology.

Position Summary
The Per Diem Neuro-Interventional Radiologist performs a broad range of procedures and treatments of neurovascular disease, including aneurysmal disease, embolization of AVMs and tumors, treatment of dural arteriovenous fistulas, ischemic disease, including carotid stenosis, and treatment of head and neck cancers and trauma.
Primary Responsibilities
* Provide pre-procedure evaluation of all NIR patients including consent.
* Participate in all procedures and treatments of Neurovascular disease, including aneurysmal disease, embolization of AVMs and tumors, treatment of dural arteriovenous fistulas, ischemic disease, including carotid stenosis, and treatment of head and neck cancers and trauma
* Provide post-procedure evaluation of patients including post op orders and notes
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams across medical and surgical specialties
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
MD or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Education & Training:
-MD or DO degree.
-Completion of Diagnostic Radiology residency.
-Completion of Neuroradiology fellowship
Certification:
-Board certified or board eligible in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology ( ABR ).
Licensure
-Unrestricted medical license (or eligibility) in the state of North Carolina.
-Ability to obtain and maintain privileges at the affiliated hospital(s).
Skills & Experience:
-Demonstrated expertise in interpreting Neuroradiology imaging across multiple modalities.
-Experience with urgent/emergent Neuroradiology imaging preferred.
-Strong communication skills with ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
-Commitment to patient and family-centered care.
-Comfort working in both in-person and remote reading environments.
