Job summary

Preferred candidates hold an aesthetics teaching certificate and have prior accredited program teaching experience, with a schedule that includes day, night, and Saturday sessions.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree and Wisconsin aesthetics licensure.
• 12 months of occupational experience other than in education for academic subject instructors.
• 24 months of directly related occupational experience for occupational subject instructors; one year within last five years.
• Previous teaching experience in an accredited Aesthetics program preferred.
• Aesthetics Instructor certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction within the approved instructional delivery system.
• Create a student learning-centered environment that enables students to demonstrate course competencies.
• Deliver instruction in accordance with the district's mission, goals, policies and procedures.
• Manage a schedule that includes day and night classes and Saturdays.

Job description

We are accepting applications for individuals who meet our minimum qualifications and who can provide instruction within the area of Community & Personal Enrichment.

Pay will vary by course being taught.Under the direct supervision of the Associate Dean/Instructional Manager, the instructor is responsible for providing instruction to students within the assigned and approved instructional delivery system and in accordance with the mission, goals, policies and procedures of the District. The instructor is responsible for providing an active learning environment to enable students to demonstrate course competencies, and creating a student learning centered environment that places learning at the center of educational experiences.

Requirements may vary according to the instructional area and position.

• Associate’s degree and current State of Wisconsin Aesthetics licensure.


• Twelve months of occupational experience other than in the educational field for academic subject instructors.


• Twenty-four months of directly related occupational experience for occupational subject instructors. One year of occupational experience must be within the last five years.


• Previous teaching experience in an accredited Aesthetics program preferred.


• Aesthetics Instructor certificate preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

Laser / IPL

• Experience performing Laser Hair Removal (3+ years)


• Experience performing IPL/BBL treatments (3+ years)

Other Devices and Training

• Experience performing Microneedling (2+ years)


• Experience performing Dermaplane, Chemical peels (2+ years)

Industry Experience

• Licensed Aesthetics experience (5+ years)

Hours:

Work schedule will include day/night/Saturdays.
