Job summary

Meridian Adhesives Group is seeking an Adhesive Formulation Compounder in Indiana to support batch production and quality of adhesive formulations. This role requires operating mixers, following batch instructions, and collaborating with QC to meet specifications.

The position offers 1st shift hours, starting pay at $21 per hour, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and PTO. Prior chemical manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Comfort with basic math and reading digital scales.
  • Ability to operate high-speed dispersers and material handling equipment.
  • English reading and comprehension skills.
  • Capacity to lift 50–60 pounds.
  • Prior chemical manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Stage and load specified raw materials into mixing vessels.
  • Follow batch instructions to consistently produce in-spec product.
  • Run, monitor, and adjust mixing equipment and instruments during production.
  • Partner with QC to make adjustments until the batch is approved.
  • Execute the manufacturing schedule and surface improvement ideas to the Supervisor.
  • Maintain housekeeping to company standards; keep work area clean and orderly.
  • Promote a safe workspace; report spills or hazards immediately to your supervisor or safety.
  • Adhere to all PPE policies and procedures.

Your Day as an Adhesive Formulation Compounder

Your Day as an Adhesive Formulation Compounder

At 5:00 am, you’ll review the production schedule, gather raw chemicals, and stage materials for the first blend. You’ll charge ingredients into the mixer, operate high‑speed dispersers and related handling equipment, and track batch progress against the work instructions. In collaboration with Quality Control, you’ll fine‑tune the formula until it meets specification, document results, and move the batch forward. Throughout the shift, you’ll keep the floor organized, follow PPE requirements, and immediately report any spill or hazard to your supervisor or safety team. You’ll close your day by cleaning equipment and preparing for the next run at 2:30 pm.

Schedule and Pay

Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday, 5:00 am–2:30 pm

Starting pay: $21.00 per hour. This reflects the starting rate. Actual hourly pay may vary within the expected range based on factors such as relevant experience/skills, time in role, business line, and location.

Bonus: Meridian is participating in a 2025 productivity incentive program. Eligible team members can earn up to $1,520 annually, paid quarterly.
