Job summary

WACKER is seeking an Adhesive Chemistry Intern to work with application chemists in the polymers field at our Allentown, PA location. You will learn vinyl acetate ethylene dispersion chemistry and how it is used in adhesives, while supporting formulation development and testing.

The role emphasizes hands-on lab work, data analysis, and technical communication, with mentorship from seasoned scientists. This 12-week summer internship offers exposure to state-of-the-art instruments and real-world

Qualifications

• Rising junior or senior enrolled in an applicable program.
• Available to work full-time for 12 weeks in Allentown, PA.
• Able to follow laboratory procedures and safety practices.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate adhesive formulations for paper and packaging applications.
• Gain hands-on experience with laboratory instruments (rheometers, DSC, Instron).
• Design and optimize test methods linking lab measurements to real-world performance.
• Build technical, problem-solving, and project management skills through research and collaboration.
• Summarize and present findings to the group.
