Performs various general maintenance duties to efficiently operate the County’s facilities and keep them in proper repair and clean and safe for public use. These maintenance duties are carried out in county buildings, including the Adult Detention Facility. This is an entry level maintenance position that is required to work directly in Sedgwick County Corrections Facility, and has regular contact with inmates and other detention personnel.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Per Sedgwick County policy, this is a driving level position that requires a valid US driver's license without restrictions and current proof of automobile insurance.
Preferred Qualifications: Two years of experience in maintenance or construction. Mechanical aptitude.
