Job summary
Divergent is seeking an AM Service Engineer to maintain and enhance our additive manufacturing systems. You will develop maintenance strategies, diagnose complex failures, and optimize performance to improve part quality and production throughput.
In this role you will interpret electrical schematics and system documentation, work with PLC logic, and mentor technicians, all while following safety protocols and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in aerospace and automotive
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
- Automation and machine control experience with troubleshooting capabilities.
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair experience.
- Hands‑on with additive technology in a factory environment.
Responsibilities
- Own the performance of additive manufacturing equipment by maintenance strategies and improvements to maximize part quality and throughput.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, optical, and control failures; determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Analyze and optimize machine performance, reliability, and production capability where standard procedures are insufficient.
- Develop and refine maintenance procedures, calibration methodologies, and operating standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical challenges.
