Vinfen in Hyannis, MA seeks a PACT Addictions Specialist to provide treatment, rehabilitation and support for adults with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental illness. You will lead intervention design and relapse prevention plans, working under the Team Leader's supervision.
Using motivational interviewing and a strengths-based approach, you will help clients engage in recovery, evaluate life circumstances, and plan for hopeful futures within a community-based program.
The PACT Addictions Specialist functions as the team's substance abuse specialist to provide treatment, rehabilitation and support services to adults with substance abuse conditions and co-occurring mental illness. The PACT Addictions Specialist leads design of intervention strategies & relapse prevention plans; works with persons served on sobriety issues, using motivational interviewing techniques and stages of change model, under the supervision of the Team Leader.
This is a fast paced, community based position geared toward helping clients engage in the recovery process and become a part of their community. Using a motivational interviewing and strengths based rehabilitation approach, PACT (Program for Assertive Community Treatment) team members engage with clients and help them evaluate their current life circumstances compared to their hopes, dreams and plans for the future.
