Job summary

Texas Health Resources' Addiction Recovery Center in Mansfield, TX seeks an Addiction Recovery Specialist to join the Recovery and Wellness team. This full-time, day-shift role focuses on therapeutic communication and multidisciplinary care.

Requires high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year in substance abuse treatment (or CNA or associate degree in mental health), and relevant certifications (BCLS, CPI, First Aid). Strong teamwork and compassionate patient interaction are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of experience in substance abuse treatment or as a Patient Care Technician required; or a high school diploma or equivalent with CNA certification; or an associate degree in mental health or a related healthcare field required.
• One year of experience in substance abuse and/or addiction services is preferred.
• BCLS certification required prior to providing independent patient care and must be maintained quarterly.
• CPI certification required within 30 days of hire.
• AHA First Aid Certification required within 90 days of hire and must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Therapeutic communication is key when interacting with patients, collaborating with the Wellness and Recovery care team, and working effectively with nursing staff, all while exemplifying active listening and non-verbal communication elements.

Here’s What You Need

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
