BrightView Health in Dayton, OH is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Behavioral Health team, focusing on supporting individuals on their journey toward mental health and recovery.

You will administer medications, monitor vital signs, coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team, educate patients on treatment plans, and maintain accurate EMR documentation while upholding HIPAA and regulatory standards, and contribute to quality improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in drug/alcohol or psychiatric setting.
• Associates Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Admins meds and injections per nursing practice.
• Manages medication selection and administration.
• Performs inductions and provides medical services as needed.
• Assesses patients and monitors vital signs for dose changes.
• Educates patients about treatment, health, and safety policies.
• Schedules appointments and records no-shows.
• Attends on-site staff and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Signs orders and enters notes in the EMR.
• Maintains and reconciles medication inventory.
• Follows HIPAA and regulatory requirements.
• Documents in the designated EMR.
• Complies with Infection Control plan and educates patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• NURSING CARE/ MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION:
  • Administers/dispenses medication and injections according to accepted nursing practice guidance.
  • Manages patient medication preselection and drug administration.
  • Performs initial inductions and provide medical services as needed.
• TREATMENT PLANNING AND PROGRESS MONITORING:
  • Conducts assessments and monitors vital signs for dose changes.
  • Educate patients related to treatment, health, and safety policies.
• COORDINATION AND COMMUNICATION:
  • Schedules appointments and document no-shows in system.
  • Attend required meetings, including on-site staff meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Signs and processes physician orders and enter notes in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and input flags.
• DOCUMENTATION AND COMPLIANCE:
  • Accurately maintains, monitors, and reconciles medication inventory.
  • Follow adherence to all necessary regulatory and company compliance requirements (HIPAA).
  • Completes documentation using the designated EMR.
  • Complies with the BrightView Infection Control plan and educates patients and staff.

Qualifications

• EXPERIENCE
  • Required: minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in drug/alcohol or psychiatric setting.
  • Preferred: 2+ years of nursing experience, preferably in drug/alcohol or psychiatric setting.
• EDUCATION:
  • Required: Associates Degree in Nursing, (NDA), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
