Job summary

BrightView seeks a licensed nurse to administer medications and injections, perform patient assessments, and educate patients while documenting in EMR and preserving HIPAA confidentiality. You will manage medication preselection and participate in multidisciplinary on-site teamwork across Kentucky.

Minimum 1 year nursing experience in drug/alcohol or psychiatric settings is required. Associate degree, BSN, or LPN with State Medication Administration Certification qualifies you.

Responsibilities

  • Administers/dispenses medication and injections according to nursing practice.

Job description

  • Manages patient medication preselection and drug administration.
  • Performs initial inductions and provides medical services as needed.
  • Conducts assessments and monitors vital signs for dose changes.
  • Educates patients related to treatment, health, and safety policies.
  • Schedules appointments and documents no-shows in the system.
  • Attends required meetings, including on-site staff meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Signs and processes physician orders and enters notes in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and inputs flags.
  • Accurately maintains, monitors, and reconciles medication inventory.
  • Follows all necessary regulatory and company compliance requirements, including HIPAA.
  • Completes documentation using the designated EMR.
Requirements
  • minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in drug/alcohol or psychiatric setting.
  • Associates Degree in Nursing, (NDA), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with State Medication Administration Certification
  • State Licensed Practical Nursing License.

  • Prior experience with harm reduction a plus
  • Ability to travel between locations including Pikeville, Hazard, London, Somerset, Nicholasville, Lexington, and Paris, Kentucky
  • Ability to attend on-site staff meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings
