Job summary

Avance Care is seeking a compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant specialized in addiction medicine to provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders.

The provider will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care, including evaluation, medication management, and MAT where appropriate, in a sleep-friendly,

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing (PMHNP) or graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current, unrestricted state NP or PA license.
• Board certification required.
• Active DEA registration required.
• Experience treating psychiatric and substance use disorders preferred.
• Experience with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and buprenorphine prescribing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and medication management.
• Diagnose and treat mental health and substance use disorders.
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications and MAT, including buprenorphine when appropriate.
• Monitor treatment progress, medication effectiveness, and patient outcomes.
• Review the PDMP and maintain DEA/state regulatory compliance.
• Order and interpret drug screenings and other diagnostic tests.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and provide patient/family education.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with behavioral health providers and refer patients to specialists as needed.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.
