Job summary

Lewis & Clark Behavioral Health Services is seeking a licensed or certified Addiction Counselor to provide chemical dependency services, including intake assessments, treatment planning, and individual and group counseling.

The role requires strong communication skills, ability to work with diverse populations, and proficiency with electronic health records in a full‑time setting.

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Licensed Addiction Counselor or Certified Addiction Counselor to join our team and make a meaningful impact.

Position Summary

The Addiction Counselor will provide comprehensive chemical dependency services, including intake assessments, individualized treatment planning, and both individual and group counseling. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, and proficiency in electronic health record systems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Minimum requirements are a high school diploma/GED with the start of your initial SUD education classes. Bachelor’s or master’s in human services field is ideal.

Credentials: Preferred candidates would have a Certified chemical dependency counselor or licensed addictions counselor as recognized by SD BAPP. ACT will be considered.
