Job summary

Eli Lilly and Company in Indianapolis, IN, seeks an Advisor of Analytical Chemistry for Antibody-Drug Conjugates Linker Payload Development to lead analytical development efforts and enable clinical milestones.

You will mentor junior team members, transfer methods to CRO/CMO partners, and drive strategies across linker-payload intermediates, mAb, and drug substance development, with 0 to 15% travel.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry or closely related STEM field, or
• M.S. with 8+ years pharma experience or
• B.S. with 12+ years pharma experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on laboratory work to support design and development of analytical control strategies for ADC payload linker programs.
• Lead analytical development and commercialization efforts for drug-linker intermediates in ADC programs, including method development and validation.
• Contribute to regulatory submissions (IND/CTA, NDA) with analytical and product quality input.
• Collaborate with discovery, development, and manufacturing teams to establish robust control strategies.
• Drive technical and analytical strategies enabling linker-payload intermediate and DS/DP process design.
• Provide technical oversight for external analytical work and tech transfer to CRO/CMO partners.
• Mentor junior team members and introduce new analytical methodologies.
