Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Kansas seeks a Retail Sales Associate to join our Wichita store on a part-time regular basis. You will assist in the dock area loading, unloading and moving merchandise and help customers in our retail area.

Responsibilities include loading for store deliveries, sorting donations, maintaining dock cleanliness, and supporting safety policies. This role supports our mission and offers benefits after eligibility, with a positive team environment.

JOB COMPETENCIES: Answers donation door greets customer and unloads donations. Sorts donations for in-house storage and loads material for store deliveries. Moves materials in or out of the warehouse and operates trash compactor. Cleans work area.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Open facility and ensure all things are in place to manage business.
• Donation door must be answered in a professional manner and with in 10 seconds.
• Locate unloaded material in proper places in warehouse.
• To load material for store deliveries and make deliveries.
• To move materials in or out of warehouse, as required.
• Move trash to compactor as needed.
• Cleans dock area during last 7 minutes of workday.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Adhere to all safety policies and reports violations.
• Support mission statement and activities of other departments.
• Support the accessibility of our services and facilities free of architectural, attitudinal, environmental, financial, communication, transportation, employment and other barriers to person with disabilities and barriers to employment.
• Adhere to all ethical standard and confidentiality of records.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
