Job summary

Scout Motors seeks an ADAS System Engineer and Function Owner to define and manage the electrical and electronic architecture of Scout ADAS features. You’ll bridge systems engineering, software and cross-functional teams to ensure integration and regulatory compliance.

You will design, calibrate, test, and sign-off ADAS features, collaborating with engineers, data scientists and validation teams to drive class-leading performance in the EV platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EE/Mechanical/Mechatronics/SW Engineering required.
• 2+ years ADAS development experience preferred.
• Experience with calibration, integration, or validation of ADAS features.
• Familiarity with CAN, LIN, Ethernet and tools for development, simulation and testing (CANoe, CANalyzer, JIRA, Confluence).
• Knowledge of safety standards (ISO 26262, SAE J3016, FMVSS) and safety analyses (FMEA, FMEDA) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, calibrate, test, and sign-off for a Scout ADAS feature.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, data science and validation teams to define system requirements and integrate ADAS into Scout’s EV platform.
• Conduct feasibility studies, simulations and prototyping to evaluate ADAS algorithms and architectures.
• Work with UI/UX to craft customer experiences with Scout’s ADAS systems.
• Participate in system-level testing, validation, and verification including real-world testing and data analysis.
• Act as single point of contact for ADAS features and lead issue tracking and resolution.
• Stay up-to-date with ADAS tech, industry trends and regulatory requirements.
• Be Scout’s innovator for new solutions.
• Role may be based at Scout Motors HQ in Charlotte, NC or Novi, MI and require 4–5 days/week in the office.
• Travel to events as needed.
