Job summary

EDAG is seeking a Sensor Integration Design & Release Engineer for Dearborn, MI or Long Beach, CA to develop and release hardware integration for ADAS sensors across vehicle programs.

You will define mounting locations, interfaces and packaging, coordinate concept development, supplier activity, tooling, verification, and launch, and maintain DFMEAs while supporting validation and production readiness. Proficiency with 3DEXPERIENCE is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or closely related field required.
• Minimum 5 years' experience with ADAS systems and automotive sensor hardware integration from concept through launch.
• Working knowledge of 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX), DFMEA, and engineering release processes.
• Exposure to camera, radar, lidar, ultrasonic or other vehicle sensing technologies and related packaging and mounting.
• Location: Dearborn, MI or Long Beach, CA; English proficiency (C1-C2).
• 6 months contract.

Responsibilities

• Develop and release hardware integration for ADAS sensors across vehicle programs.
• Define sensor mounting locations, brackets, interfaces, and packaging.
• Coordinate concept development, supplier activity, tooling, verification, and launch.
• Assess mounting geometry, tolerances, vibration, temperature, contamination, and vehicle features.
• Coordinate integration with body, exterior trim, glazing, lighting, electrical, and other vehicle systems.
• Develop DFMEAs and support validation planning, test execution, and issue closure.
• Maintain product definition, changes, and release data in 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX).
• Support vehicle builds, calibration-related integration activities, manufacturing readiness, and production launch.
