Job summary

Ford is seeking an ADAS Diagnostics Systems Engineer to architect and own diagnostic strategies for ADAS features, from concept through production. You will collaborate with software/controls engineers to define fault detection thresholds, develop diagnostic specifications, and drive validation across the product lifecycle.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in vehicle systems engineering and automotive diagnostics, with strong knowledge of UDS/ISO 14229, OBD, and DFMEA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field.
• 2+ years in vehicle systems engineering, incl. architecture & DFMEA.
• 2+ years in automotive diagnostics development (DTCs, DIDs, strategy).

Responsibilities

• Architect and own diagnostic strategy for ADAS features from concept to production.
• Author diagnostic specifications and behavioral models for software/hardware teams.
• Design diagnostic architecture aligned with UDS, OBD, and standards.
• Serve as intake for enhanced diagnostics requests and develop design proposals.
• Collaborate with software/controls engineers to define fault detection thresholds and responses.
• Lead or support root-cause investigations for diagnostic anomalies.
• Develop troubleshooting guides and diagnostic documentation.
• Define and execute validation criteria for diagnostic specs.
• Manage DTC lifecycle and triage across the product lifecycle.
