  • Support the Sourcing Process, including investment, piece price, and tooling cost reviews, and prepare initial and final sourcing documents including ESOW, Engineering Specifications, System and Component requirements.
  • Manage and execute hardware releases for prototype, production, and service
  • Lead and perform Failure Mode Avoidance and Functional Safety analyses to examine potential failure modes and design suitable prevention strategies.
  • Conduct Technical Design Reviews, interfacing with Ford core activities and supplier engineering (software, hardware, mechanical, etc.).
  • Support the electrical distribution team by submitting related E/E information like Design Transmittals, specifications, and electrical diagrams.
  • Support Vehicle Operations activities to determine appropriate assembly and testing processes.
  • Interface with cross‑functional teams to ensure compliance with required specifications and efficient critical decision‑making.
  • Complete program‑related work such as Bill of Materials (BOM), integration and packaging, parts release, requirements compliance, Engineering Signoff, 2‑pagers, and AIMs. Ensure program deliverables are met on time and with the highest quality, including FEDEBOM, Global Integrator DRP, Packaging/Digital Buck, DPA Checks, WERS, FMA, Subsystem/Supplier work plans, DVP&R, and Engineering Sign‑off.
  • Analyze data, identify root causes of issues, and develop corrective actions to optimize processes and achieve desired outcomes. Strong systems engineering approach to problem‑solving and design. Drive troubleshooting and development of solutions for Hardware, Software, and packaging issues found during validation and launch using problem‑solving best practices (Is/Is not, 3L5W, fishbones, etc.) with various experts.
  • Support prototype and vehicle launches, which may require travel.
  • Identify validation, durability, and functional testing required for a given program’s change scope.
  • Support ongoing warranty reduction and improvements.
  • Support Total Vehicle Management activities.
You’ll have...
