• Emplements special education strategies and techniques to develop skills across domains;
• Teaches to support IEP goals using positive behavioral supports;
• Modifies general education curriculum for students with disabilities using various instruction techniques;
• Establishes and enforces behavior rules for a conducive learning environment;
• Meets with parents to discuss progress and determine priorities;
• Confer with parents, administrators, testing specialists, social workers, and other professionals to develop IEPs;
• Maintains accurate student records and reports as required by laws and policies;
• Develops plans for communication, monitoring, and follow-up of students;
• Provides crisis intervention as needed in inclusive classrooms;
• Assists in data collection for interventions;
• Assists in data preparation for local, state, and federal reports;
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned by administration.
