Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field is required.
• GaPSC certification in Special Education Adaptive Curriculum (P12) or eligibility required.
• Knowledge of instructional strategies for students with significant cognitive disabilities.
• Experience implementing IEPs and functional behavior supports preferred.
• Experience with assistive technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, families and administrators.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Deliver instruction aligned with Georgia Standards of Excellence Extended (GSE-E).
• Prepare students for post-school independence, employment and community participation.
