Job summary

Smugglers' Notch Resort in Jeffersonville, VT is seeking Adaptive Ski & Snowboard Instructors for both full-time and part-time roles. You will help guests access Smuggs' offerings, teaching skiing and adaptive techniques with patience and empathy.

Responsibilities include on- and off-snow time with guests, attending pre-season training, and collaborating in a team or solo setting while prioritizing safety. Prior experience with adaptive equipment is a plus, but training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be patient, empathetic, and willing to adapt to different needs.
• This position requires both on and off snow time with guests, both adults and children.
• Must attend pre-season training.
• Not mandatory, but the SNAP program is also seeking individuals with Bi and/or Mono ski equipment experience.
• Occasionally we have adaptive snowboard lessons or inclusion, but we predominantly teach skiing.
• Must be able to work in a team setting and alone.
• Have a strong value for personal safety and safety of others.
• Passion for teaching snow sports.
• Own equipment or be able to obtain by training completion (bindings inspection) and own black snow pants.

Responsibilities

• Teach skiing and adaptive ski techniques to guests across skill levels.
• Spend on- and off-snow time with guests, including adults and children.
• Attend pre-season training and contribute to a safe teaching environment.
