Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide safe, compassionate nursing care across inpatient units and to float to areas of greatest need. Responsibilities include assessments, care planning, collaboration with care teams, and documenting progress.

Qualifications

  • Current RN license in the practice state; compact licenses transferable within 60 days.
  • Minimum of 1 year RN experience.
  • Willingness to float across multiple units.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Preferred: BSN degree, strong adaptability, critical-thinking, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver evidence-based nursing care and perform comprehensive patient assessments
  • Develop and adjust individualized care plans based on patient needs
  • Adapt quickly to different units, patient populations, and acuity levels
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians and care teams
  • Monitor, document, and evaluate patient progress and outcomes
  • Educate patients and families to promote recovery and safe transitions
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory documentation standards
  • Uphold professional and ethical nursing standards
