Job summary

The City of Greeley Recreation is seeking an Adaptive and Inclusive Class Instructor to lead in youth and adult sport formats, swim lessons, and other aquatic and social programs. Instructors ensure safe, motivating experiences for participants with varying abilities and must design effective classes based on participant needs.

Qualifications

  • Customer service experience.
  • Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED/First Aid Certification required: American Heart Association or American Red Cross. (Ability to obtain within 60 days of hire).
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Design and delivery of group programs on the weekly schedule.
  • Keep accurate record of class attendance.
  • Willingness to cross-train in other program areas.
  • Serve as a role model to staff and participants as it relates to personal fitness, etiquette and safety.
  • Provide a friendly, inclusive, service-oriented environment for staff and participants.
  • Provide positive relations and policy education to participants.
  • Maintain familiarity of Greeley Recreation functions including risk management procedures, membership information, basic operational practices, and understanding of programs and services.
  • Respond to all injuries and assist in immediate emergency procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
