Qualifications
Ability to communicate effectively in person and in writing.
Experience with sensory interpretation and student restraint training is preferred.
Must assist students with physical needs including toileting and feeding.
Responsibilities
Assist classroom teachers with the implementation of IEPs and behavior plans.
Support students in general education classes by modifying materials.
Monitor student progress and keep teachers informed of concerns.
Assist with daily supervision of students.
Provide assistance during emergency drills and field trips.
Skills
Communication with staff, students, and visitors
Experience working with Special Needs Students
Ability to use sign language
Ability to assist with daily living activities
Education
High School Diploma or General Education Degree
