Job summary

Global Village Academy North - Thornton, CO is seeking an in-house substitute teacher to provide consistent instructional support by serving as the substitute for teacher absences, while also supporting students through small-group instruction and supervision.

Under the principal's direction, you will implement lesson plans, maintain a positive learning environment, and help meet academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs. This is a full-time, non-exempt role with salary range shown.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with school-aged children.
• Ability to supervise students and maintain a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary substitute teacher for assigned teacher absences.
• Implement lesson plans and activities provided by the classroom teacher.
• Deliver instruction aligned with curriculum standards and school expectations.
• Take attendance and maintain classroom records.
• Maintain an organized, safe, and productive classroom environment.
• Provide student supervision and support as needed.
• Record and communicate student progress to the classroom teacher.
