Job summary
Special Strong Rhode Island and Southeast Massachusetts is seeking athletic and compassionate trainers to deliver adaptive 1-on-1 training and lead small group classes for individuals with disabilities.
The role requires CPR/AED certification, applicable PT credentials, and willingness to travel within a 15-mile radius of Rhode Island and SE Massachusetts locations. Training, development, and advancement opportunities are provided.
Qualifications
- CPR/AED certification required.
- Personal Training certification from NCCA/NASM/ISSA/ACE or college degree in exercise field.
- Must be able to travel within a 15-mile radius of the job posting location.
- Comfortable with smartphones and basic computer operation.
- Prior personal trainer experience preferred but not required.
- Experience with special needs is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized 1-on-1 adaptive training and lead small group classes for individuals with disabilities and special needs.
- Update and review client profiles; prepare for upcoming workouts.
- Conduct fitness assessments and re-assessments regularly.
- Available to work at participating on-site location/within a 15-mile radius of the job posting location.
