Job description

This is a full-time, traveling role for a Special Needs Fitness Trainer located in Yuba City/Citrus Heights, CA. The Special Needs Fitness Trainer will implement fitness programs tailored to individuals with special needs, lead group exercise sessions, provide one-on-one fitness instruction, and create an inclusive and supportive environment. Responsibilities also include monitoring progress, ensuring safety during exercises, and collaborating with clients and their families to achieve fitness goals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in physiology, anatomy, and program design, with a passion for helping special needs clients (Autism/down syndrome etc.) achieve their fitness goals. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a professional environment providing personalized training sessions and group fitness classes to diverse clientele. Candidates should have experience in personal training, sports coaching, and fitness sales, along with excellent teaching skills to motivate and educate special needs clients of all levels.

NO SALES: Making sales and meeting quotas are not required skills. WE will handle that for you.

Compensation:

Compensation ranges between $25-$40 per hour depending on qualification and experience.

Qualifications:

• Experience in Fitness Training, Fitness Instruction, and Group Exercise
• Maintain a clean and organized workout environment adhering to health and safety standards
• Knowledge of the Fitness Industry and trends
• Strong Customer Service skills to build positive relationships with clients
• Poses positive and uplifting attitude towards clients
• Passionate about assisting clients in achieving their fitness goals
• Comfortable with working and communicating with clients, families and partners
• Patience, adaptability, and excellent communication skills
• Experience in submitting summary reports in timely manner
• Certification in personal training or related field is preferred (e.g., NASM, ACE)
• CPR and First Aid Certification
• Poses positive and uplifting attitude towards clients

Strongly preferred:

• Experience working with individuals with special needs is (highly desirable)
• Be a great learner: You don't have to be the world's best trainer to work here, but you need to have an incredible thirst to become a better trainer, every day.
