Job summary

Special Strong Western Chicagoland is seeking a dedicated personal trainer for adaptive fitness across the western Chicagoland area. This part-time role supports individuals with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, ADHD, and other needs, helping them build strength and confidence in private and small-group settings.

You’ll coach sessions, update client profiles, and maintain open communication with caregivers while traveling within 15 miles of Deerfield, IL.

Qualifications

• CPR and AED certification required.
• Approved Personal Training Certification (NCCA preferred).
• Ability to travel within a 15-mile radius and work at multiple locations.
• Comfortable working with individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Coach private 1:1 training sessions and group formats.
• Update and review client profiles; prepare for upcoming workouts.
• Maintain communication with athlete parent/caregiver to schedule sessions.
• Conduct fitness assessments and re-assessments.
• Travel within a 15-mile radius of the job posting location.
