Job summary

Upbring is seeking an Early Head Start Center Floater who will support classrooms across the day, assisting teachers with activities and supervising children to ensure a safe, nurturing environment. The role requires flexibility to move between rooms and age groups, while helping with meals, hygiene routines, and documentation.

Ideal candidates may have a high school diploma and be enrolled in or pursuing a CDA or related degree, with CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Eligible to enroll in CDA within 30 days or pursue degree in early childhood with related coursework.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and engage children in activities.
• Ensure active supervision and safety in classrooms, playgrounds and common areas.
• Provide support across multiple classrooms as needed.
• Help with meal preparation, distribution and cleanup.
• Assist with diapering and personal hygiene following Head Start guidelines.
• Foster positive interactions and support social-emotional development.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized classroom with learning materials.
• Collaborate with staff and families to support children's needs.
• Follow Head Start standards and program procedures.
• Participate in trainings and required certifications.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Travel up to 10%.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent
