Job Description

CFD Research is seeking an experienced Ada Software Engineer to support the software engineering lifecycle following the program Software Development Plan (SDP). The role includes requirements analysis, object‑oriented analysis & design, code & unit testing, integration, and support formal test/delivery.

Must be a US Citizen and possess a Final Secret government security clearance. The position is located at a facility requiring special access.

Basic Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience with Ada programming
• Three or more years of experience developing or troubleshooting container‑based microservices architectures
• Strong troubleshooting skills for complex technical challenges
• Ability to work with multi‑disciplined teams
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, aerospace engineering, or other related field from an accredited institution
• Active Final Secret clearance

Desired Qualifications

• Experience as a Software Engineer specializing in DevSecOps
• Familiarity with Angular, Docker/Podman, GitFlow, Gitlab, HTML/CSS, Javascript, Jira, Node.js, Keycloak, Kubernetes, Linters, SonarQube, Trivy, ReactJS or other JS frameworks
• Knowledge of Agile Software Development
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of Model Base Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• Experience translating and designing to software requirements

Location

Huntsville, AL – 100% onsite. Candidate must be a US Citizen with an active secret clearance.
