Job summary

The Human Trafficking Bureau of the City District Attorney seeks an Assistant District Attorney with felony trial experience to join the bureau in New York. The ADA will handle a vertical caseload involving prosecutions of sex and labor trafficking offenses, including cases against minors and adults, and related offenses across the Penal Law.

Qualifications

J.D. degree and admission to NYS bar in good standing.
At least 3 years of prosecutorial experience.
Experience working with victims of trauma and sexual assault cases.
Trial experience with trauma-related or sex crimes and general jury trials.
Training in trauma-informed interviewing techniques.
Experience drafting search warrants, cell site orders, and analyzing electronic data.
Strong knowledge of Penal Law Articles 120, 130, 135, 230, and 263.

Responsibilities

Handle a vertical felony caseload and related investigations involving human trafficking prosecutions.
Prosecute sex and labor trafficking offenses against children and adults.
Collaborate with trauma victims and employ trauma-informed interviewing techniques.
Develop advanced investigative and trial skills and draft search warrants and related orders.
