Job summary

Mercy Hospital Ada is seeking a flexible PRN Registered Nurse for the Family Birthplace. You will provide nursing care using the nursing process, ensuring patient rights and confidentiality, and coordinating with other departments to maintain high-quality care.

The role offers a flexible schedule with day or night shifts, no weekend/holiday requirements, and participation in Mercy's Gig Nursing Program with variable hours and possible shift cancellations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
• RN licensure in hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• BSN preferred.
• Minimum one year of bedside RN experience for Med Surg; two years for other specialties.
• BLS required for Med Surg and WC; ACLS for CC; BLS/ACLS/PALS for ED.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain patient rights and confidentiality.
• Evaluates care effectiveness and coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains professional accountability for the care of assigned patients and adheres to Mercy Service Standards.

Overview:

Are you seeking a flexible incentivized Registered Nurse position? Ability to pick up day shift OR night shift- whatever works best for you! No weekend, holiday, or shift requirement. Participation in the Gig Nursing Program requires being responsible for scheduling a minimum number of hours, being available on short notice, being flexible and subject to last minute shift cancellation. The Gig Nursing Program does not offer guaranteed shift hours and will be the first for cancellation.

Qualifications:

• Required Education:
  • Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
• Preferred Education:
  • BSN
• Licensure:
  • Is responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Experience:
  • One year of recent bed-side RN experience to work Med Surg.
  • For all other specialties, a minimum of two years of recent bed-side RN experience.
• Certifications:
  • For Med Surg and Women's and Children's (WC): BLS
  • For Critical Care (CC): BLS, ACLS
  • For ED: BLS, ACLS, & PALS
• Preferred Experience:
  • Epic experience
