Job summary

FOX Corporation is seeking a Software Engineer II to join its Digital Product Engineering Ad Tech team. You will help build, maintain, and evolve the web advertising platform powering monetization across FOX’s consumer-facing digital products.

The role involves building scalable, high-performance web applications and SDKs, integrating third-party advertising technologies, and collaborating with product, design, QA, and external partners to deliver new features and improve functionality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience building modern web applications.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and a deep understanding of browser-based development.
• Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, browser APIs, and client-side application architecture.
• Experience integrating third-party SDKs, APIs, or platform services into production applications.
• Familiarity with video playback technologies and web-based media applications.
• Experience building modular, maintainable, and testable software.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.
• Experience with source control systems such as Git.
• Familiarity with automated testing, build systems, and CI/CD workflows.
• Understanding of software design patterns and object-oriented programming concepts.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
• Regular, on-site attendance at the workplace a minimum of 3 days per week is an essential function of the position.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance web-based advertising solutions and SDKs for FOX’s consumer-facing digital products.
• Build scalable, modular, and high-performance software that supports video advertising, display advertising, analytics, and measurement.
• Integrate and maintain third-party advertising technologies, including platforms such as Google Ad Manager (GAM), Interactive Media Ads (IMA), FreeWheel, and other advertising or analytics solutions.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA engineers, and partner teams to deliver new features and improve existing functionality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across multiple browsers, devices, and environments.
• Contribute to engineering best practices, code reviews, testing strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and user experience.
• Develop subject matter expertise in digital advertising, video monetization, and evolving web technologies.
• Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to support integrations and technical initiatives.
