Job summary

LMI is seeking an Information Assurance Specialist to support Army Acquisition, Training, and Readiness (AT&R) in sustaining ACWS on the Appian platform. You will help ensure cybersecurity, compliance, risk management, and system authorization activities meet DoD requirements.

The role requires 5–10+ years in IA/cybersecurity, knowledge of RMF/NIST, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams; the position is based at Fort Belvoir, VA with eligibility for clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 5-10+ years of IA, cybersecurity, or cyber risk management experience.
• Knowledge of NIST cybersecurity frameworks and RMF processes.
• Experience developing security documentation and artifacts.
• Experience with vulnerability management and compliance activities.
• Understanding of security controls and secure configuration.
• Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Support information assurance and cybersecurity for ACWS and enterprise environments.
• Assist with implementation and maintenance of security controls per NIST/RMF/DoD.
• Support system security authorization, assessment, and ATO activities.
• Conduct security assessments, vulnerability reviews, and control reviews.
• Monitor findings and coordinate remediation with cross-functional teams.
• Develop and maintain SSPs, POA&Ms, policies, and assessment artifacts.
• Assist with continuous monitoring, security metrics, and reporting.
• Support security audits, inspections, and responses to findings.
• Stay current on evolving cybersecurity threats and DoD requirements.
