Banner Health is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for Banner Estrella Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ. The role involves performing abdominal, pelvic, thyroid, and soft tissue examinations, and supporting ultrasound-guided procedures in collaboration with radiologists and the care team.
Qualified candidates will have a graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program, ARDMS/CCI/ARRT certification, and 3–5 years of hospital-based experience, with BLS as a minimum requirement.

Location: Banner Estrella Medical Center - 9201 W Thomas Rd Phoenix, AZ 85037
Schedule: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 11:30am to 12:00am. Call and holiday rotation included.
3-5 years hospital based (preferred) and willing to consider MFM technologists as well. Education: Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program ARDMS certification required (RVT, OB/GYN, AB specialties preferred)
Day to day: Executing comprehensive abdominal, pelvic, thyroid, and soft tissue examinations. Adapting scanning techniques for diverse patient populations including pediatric and critical care patients. Assist in all image-guided ultrasound procedures in collaboration with the clinical and procedural care team

This position performs procedures by following and verifying referring providers’ orders. Uses independent judgment and applies learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures for 2 Ultrasound certifications.
Requires national certification in two areas of specialty from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). BLS certification required.
This position requires clinical knowledge typically achieved with 3-5 years of experience.
Must demonstrate effective communication skills, human relations skills, ability to analyze data and solve problems.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
